Day 25 of 365

Joy Comes in the Morning

“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

Psalm 30:5 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Weeping may endure for a night. That night might feel like it lasts forever. But David gives us a truth to hold onto in the dark: joy comes in the morning. Not maybe. Not hopefully. Joy comes. The tears are real, the pain is valid, and the night is hard. But morning always breaks. Hang on.

Try This Today

If you've been crying through a hard season, put a timer on your phone for 6 a.m. tomorrow. Label it: "Joy comes in the morning." When it goes off, take a slow breath and thank God for one new thing about today.
