Day 31 of 365

Bearing With One Another

“With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Ephesians 4:2-3 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Lowliness, meekness, longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. Paul's relationship advice sounds nothing like the world's. He's asking us to be patient with people who test our patience, to be gentle with people who frustrate us, and to keep the peace. Real love isn't just a warm feeling. It's a daily decision to bear with someone.

Try This Today

Think of one person who has been testing your patience. Instead of venting about them, pray for them by name. Then do one small, kind thing for them this week, even if they don't notice.
