Day 42 of 365

Planted by the Water

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

Psalm 1:1-3 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

The person who delights in God's Word is like a tree planted by rivers of water. Not a tumbling weed blown around by every wind. A rooted, fruit-bearing tree that stays green even when things get dry. Where you plant yourself matters. Stay close to the water source, and you'll bear fruit in every season.

Try This Today

Read Psalm 1 before you start your day tomorrow. Ask yourself: "Am I planted by the water, or have I drifted from my source?" If you've drifted, open your Bible and come back. That's all it takes.
