This Pain Is Temporary
“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

What This Means for You
Paul does not dismiss your pain. He acknowledges the suffering of this present time is real. But he puts it on a scale next to the glory that is coming, and says there is no comparison. The hard thing you are going through right now has an expiration date. The glory ahead does not. Hold on. The weight of what is coming makes today's burden feel lighter.
Try This Today
Write the word "temporary" on one hand and "eternal" on the other. Throughout the day, when pain feels heavy, look at "temporary." When hope feels far, look at "eternal." Let Paul's perspective reframe your afternoon.
