Day 49 of 365

He Pulled Me Out

“I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”

Psalm 40:1-2 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

David waited patiently for the Lord, and God heard him. He brought him up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set his feet upon a rock. If you feel stuck in a pit right now, hold on. God is not ignoring you. He hears your cry. He will set your feet on solid ground. Sometimes deliverance takes patience, but it always comes.

Try This Today

If you're in a "pit" season, journal about it honestly. Don't sugarcoat it. Then write Psalm 40:2 at the bottom: "He set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings." Hold onto that promise.
