Day 89 of 365

Light Affliction, Eternal Weight

“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;”

2 Corinthians 4:16-17 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Paul calls his suffering 'light affliction.' The man who was shipwrecked, beaten, and imprisoned called it light. Not because it did not hurt, but because he measured it against an eternal weight of glory. Perspective changes everything.

Try This Today

Write down your biggest struggle right now. Then write next to it: 'but for a moment.' Not to minimize the pain, but to remind yourself that this season has an expiration date. Glory does not.
