Day 92 of 365

Thirsty for the Right Thing

“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.”

Psalm 63:1-3 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

David was in a literal desert when he wrote this. His soul was thirsty, but not for water. For God. Sometimes the dry seasons of life are exactly what make us realize that nothing else satisfies like His presence.

Try This Today

Turn off all screens for the last hour before bed tonight. Read Psalm 63 slowly, then sit in silence for a few minutes. Let the quiet create space for God to fill.
