God Comforts Like a Mother
“As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.”

What This Means for You
God uses the picture of a mother comforting her child. If you had a mother who comforted you well, this verse makes sense immediately. If you did not, it tells you what God is offering to be for you. His comfort is tender, close, and personal.
