He Heard You From the Pit
“I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon. Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry. Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.”

What This Means for You
The writer of Lamentations called out to God from the lowest place imaginable. And God answered. He drew near and said, 'Fear not.' When you feel like you are at the bottom, that is not where the story ends. God hears prayers from pits.
Try This Today
If you are in a hard place right now, write a raw, honest prayer to God. Do not edit it. Do not make it sound polished. Just tell Him where you are. Then write at the bottom: 'Thou saidst, Fear not.'
