Day 245 of 365

Blessed in the Broken Places

“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”

Matthew 5:3-4 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Jesus opened the most famous sermon ever preached by blessing the people nobody expected: the poor in spirit, the mourners. Not the strong, the put-together, or the impressive. If you feel spiritually empty or heavy-hearted today, Jesus says you're in exactly the right position to be blessed.

Try This Today

Instead of pretending to be fine at church or with friends this week, be honest about one area where you're struggling. Let someone in. Jesus calls the broken places blessed, and community is where that blessing often shows up.
