Day 272 of 365

After You Have Suffered a While

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

1 Peter 5:10 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Peter does not pretend the suffering is not real. He says 'after you have suffered a while.' Not 'if.' After. There is a time limit on this pain. And on the other side, God Himself will make you stronger, more settled, and more complete than before.

Try This Today

If you are in a season of suffering right now, write this verse on a card and put it by your bed. Read it first thing tomorrow morning. Let the words 'a while' remind you that this is not forever.
