Day 281 of 365

His Promises Are Not Empty

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

2 Peter 1:3-4 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Peter calls God's promises 'exceeding great and precious.' Not mediocre. Not conditional. Great and precious. Through them, you participate in God's own nature. That is not religious language. That is an invitation to live beyond what you thought possible.

Try This Today

Open your Bible and find one promise of God that you have been struggling to believe lately. Write it on a card. Read it three times today: morning, afternoon, and before bed. Let it sink in deeper each time.
