Day 283 of 365

Joy in the Good, Faith in the Hard

“In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.”

Ecclesiastes 7:14 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Life gives you both good days and hard days. Solomon says to enjoy the good ones fully and to think carefully during the difficult ones. Both are from God. Both have something to teach you. The key is being present in whichever one you are living right now.

Try This Today

Today, name which kind of day you are having: a good one or a hard one. If good, pause and thank God specifically. If hard, ask: 'What are You teaching me in this?' Either way, be fully present.
