Day 337 of 365

Hope in the Valley

“Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.”

Hosea 2:14-15 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

God says He will allure Israel into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her. Then He turns the Valley of Achor, which means 'trouble,' into a door of hope. God takes the very place of your deepest trouble and turns it into an entrance to something new. The valley is not the end of the story. It is the door.

Try This Today

Name your current 'Valley of Achor,' the situation causing you the most trouble. Write underneath it: 'This is a door of hope.' Pray for God to show you what He is opening through this hard place.
