Day 201 of 365

Singing in the Dark

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.”

Acts 16:25-26 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Paul and Silas didn't wait until they were free to worship. They sang at midnight, in chains, with fresh wounds on their backs. And God showed up. Sometimes the most defiant thing you can do in a dark season is praise God before anything changes.

Try This Today

Put on one worship song tonight before bed, even if (especially if) this has been a hard day. Sing it as an act of trust, not because you feel like it, but because God is still worthy of it.
