Day 211 of 365

The Sacrifice of Praise

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”

Hebrews 13:15 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

The writer calls praise a sacrifice. That word is intentional. Sometimes worship costs you something. It costs your comfort, your pride, your desire to stay angry or sad. Praising God when you don't feel like it is one of the most powerful things you can do.

Try This Today

Choose one worship song that moves you. Play it first thing this morning and sing along, even if your heart isn't in it yet. That's the sacrifice of praise: offering it before the feeling catches up.
