Day 212 of 365

God Feeds the Birds, and You

“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”

Matthew 6:25-26 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Birds don't have savings accounts or retirement plans. They don't hoard or stress about next month's groceries. And God feeds them. Jesus isn't telling you to be irresponsible. He's telling you to stop letting worry steal the life right out of your days.

Try This Today

Step outside for five minutes and watch the birds. Notice how they eat, how they move without panic. Then tell God: 'If You take care of them, I trust You to take care of me.' Let that prayer settle into your afternoon.
