Day 228 of 365

Power to Be a Witness

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Acts 1:8 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Jesus didn't say you'd receive power and then go out to perform impressive feats. He said you'd receive power to be His witnesses. A witness just tells what they've seen. You don't need a theology degree. You just need a story of how God showed up in your life.

Try This Today

Think of one specific way God has helped you recently. Tell someone about it today, not as a sermon, but as a story. 'Here's what happened to me' is one of the most powerful things you can say.
