Choose the Better Part
“And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

What This Means for You
Martha was doing good things. Necessary things. But Jesus gently told her she was so busy doing things for Him that she missed being with Him. Mary chose to sit at His feet, and Jesus called it the better part. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop.
Try This Today
Set a timer for ten minutes today. Sit still. No phone, no list, no agenda. Just sit with God the way Mary did. If your mind races to your to-do list, gently bring it back. The dishes can wait.
