Day 314 of 365

Joy Is Your Strength

“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

The people of Israel were weeping because they finally understood God's word and saw how far they had fallen. But Nehemiah told them to stop crying and start celebrating. Grief over sin is right for a season, but God does not want you stuck there. His joy is what actually gives you the strength to move forward.

Try This Today

Make a short list of three specific things God has done for you recently. Read them out loud tonight. Let gratitude push grief out of the driver's seat.
