Day 321 of 365

Too Busy for Distractions

“And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?”

Nehemiah 6:3 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Nehemiah's enemies tried four times to pull him away from rebuilding the wall. His answer every time was the same: 'I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down.' He did not argue. He did not explain himself. He simply refused to leave the work God gave him. Some invitations are distractions dressed up as opportunities.

Try This Today

Think of one commitment or distraction that keeps pulling you away from something God has put on your heart. Practice saying no this week. You are doing a great work.
