Day 329 of 365

Be Strong and Work

“Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:”

Haggai 2:4 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Three times in one verse God says 'be strong.' Not once. Three times. And then He adds: 'for I am with you.' God did not just command strength and walk away. He promised His presence as the source of that strength. Be strong is not a demand for you to grit your teeth harder. It is an invitation to lean into the God who is with you.

Try This Today

Think of one task you have been avoiding because it feels overwhelming. Before you begin, whisper: 'God, you are with me.' Then take the first step. Just the first one.
