Day 357 of 365

Christ Came for Sinners

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.”

1 Timothy 1:15 (KJV) |

What This Means for You

Paul calls himself the chief of sinners, and then says this is exactly why Christ came: to save sinners. Not to help good people get a little better. To save sinners. If you feel too far gone, too broken, too messy for God, you are actually the exact person Jesus came for. Your mess is His specialty.

Try This Today

Write this on a card: 'Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. And He saved me anyway.' Keep it in your wallet or phone case this week.
