When Fear Makes You Sink

“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”

What This Means for You

Peter actually walked on water. He did the impossible for a few steps. Then he looked at the wind and started sinking. But notice what happened next: Jesus immediately caught him. Your fear might make you sink, but it won't make you drown. He's right there to grab you.

What 'wind' have you been looking at instead of Jesus? Name it. Then close your eyes and pray: 'Lord, I took my eyes off You. Catch me again.' He's already reaching for you.
